With the Herefish email builder, you are able to easily add your blog articles into any email using RSS feeds from the Herefish library. However, by default, wordpress does not include your featured image in the feed. You can easily turn that on by using either of the options below:

Option 1 - Code

If you or your IT team feel comfortable with light coding on your Wordpress, this is the preferred method.

Add the following code in the functions.php file of your theme:

```function featuredtoRSS($content) {
global $post;
if ( has_post_thumbnail( $post->ID ) ){
$content = '<div>' . get_the_post_thumbnail( $post->ID, 'medium', array( 'style' => 'margin-bottom: 15px;' ) ) . '</div>' . $content;
}
return $content;
}
add_filter('the_excerpt_rss', 'featuredtoRSS');
add_filter('the_content_feed', 'featuredtoRSS');
This way is relatively easy but please do it with caution, code added in the wrong place or incorrectly can break your site.
Option 2 - A Plugin
There are quite a few plugins that can be added to your site, but here are a couple we've seen used. As with any plugin, you are introducing outside code to your site, which could pose a security risk, but both of these have many thousands of downloads and reviews, so you should be safe 😉.
